MEET JAMES
Dr. James Banks’ bestselling writing on prayer, translated into multiple languages, has encouraged readers worldwide. James makes prayer practical, writing from the heart with insights drawn from God’s Word and the “down to earth” experience of everyday life. James and his wife Cari have two adult children and make their home in Durham, NC, where James is the founding pastor of Peace Church. James also writes for Our Daily Bread, and holds degrees from Westmont College, Princeton and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminaries. He is a frequent guest on radio and television and a popular speaker at conferences and retreats.
James has shared from the depth of experience the secret of parental prayers for children and reveals the truth for effective prayer—God’s Word.
Geoff's Story
James and Cari prayed for their son for years. Geoff struggled with addiction to opiates and eventually heroin, and was in and out of rehab and the court system. He’s a youth pastor today, with the goal of helping others avoid the mistakes he made. In this candid video Geoff shares the difference God’s love has made in his life.
