Every morning, I read PFP, and then I read a Psalm. I personalize it often for my son, who has walked away from his faith and is living a gay lifestyle. Can I encourage you with this Psalm? (20:4-7) “May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the LORD fulfill all your petitions! Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” My prayer around this Psalm this morning is: “Lord, my own desire is to see my son saved. I really don’t have any other desires. I can’t wait to shout for joy over his salvation. Oh God, you will fulfill all my petitions for my son. You are the only one who saves; no one else can. Amen.
