Terry

Our daughter Emily has been estranged from our family for 8 years now. She is living as a man. She has taken testosterone for years, has had “top surgery,” and has legally changed her first and last names. She walked away from our close-knit family, including her five adoring nieces and younger developmentally disabled sister. We stressed our love for Emily, no matter what her choices are, however she has believed the lie of the enemy, that our inability to accept her lifestyle, is a rejection of her as evidence that we do not in fact love her. She basically presented us with an ultimatum to denounce our faith and embrace her “identity,” or to have no place in her life. We are dead to her. I am convinced that if anything happened to my husband or myself, that Emily would not even attend a funeral. She missed saying goodbye to her grandparents before and after their deaths. Only God can change hearts, deliver from evil, and restore what the enemy has stolen, killed, and destroyed. We pray daily for our prodigal. I am so grateful to find this resource, and for the opportunity to join with you all in lifting up our precious children before God with one strong voice. There is power in prayer, and even greater power in the prayers of many.
